Owner Kraft hits back at 'jealous' Patriots haters

Owner Robert Kraft said the New England Patriots will do all they can to ensure "the haters still hate" following their record-breaking Super Bowl success.

The Patriots pulled off the greatest comeback in Super Bowl 51 to beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in Houston this month.

And Kraft is not bothered about those who believe their five Super Bowl championships have involved questionable tactics.

“Envy and jealousy are incurable diseases," Kraft told HBO's "Real Sports". "The haters still hate. And I understand it, and we’ll do our best to keep them in that position."

Kraft said he was especially upset about how the Deflategate scandal tarnished the reputation of the team and quarterback Tom Brady.

“I go back to my Dad and he said, ‘The most important thing you can earn in life is a good name.’ That is impacting our good name or our reputation," Kraft said. "And it wasn't something that I appreciated.

“[Brady is] just not the greatest quarterback in the history of the NFL, he's an amazing human being. And is genuine. And as nice as everybody thinks he is, he’s nicer. And to see anyone attack him as an individual or his integrity. And that just wasn’t fair."
