NFL free agency rumors: Teddy Bridgewater passes physical, set to sign with Jets

Teddy Bridgewater will be announced as the Jets' quarterback very soon.

The 25-year-old passed his physical, meaning there is not much standing in the way of New York's announcement, ProFootballTalk reported.

Bridgewater was let loose into free agency by the Vikings after spending the entire 2016 sidelined with a torn ACL. He was deemed fully recovered by the middle of the 2017 season, but was only used in one game.

Bridgewater will join Josh McCown, Christian Hackenberg, Bryce Petty and Joel Stave on the quarterback list for the Jets. He is expected to sign a one-year deal with New York.

Now that the team has traded up with the Colts so it has the No. 3 overall pick in the NFL draft, there is a high chance they will take another quarterback.
