NFL Pro Bowler Mark Ingram claims he and some of his New Orleans Saints team-mates were turned away by a nightclub in London for being "too urban".
The Saints and Miami Dolphins will play in London on October 1 and a number of Saints players, including star running back Ingram, cornerbacks Sterling Moore and B.W. Webb, and safety Vonn Bell, travelled to England's capital city to check things out this week.
Ingram - a 2014 Pro Bowl selection - tweeted that they had a great time, with the exception of being denied entry to a circus-themed nightclub called Cirque Le Soir on Monday.
"They told us they were "6 big guys" that are too "Urban" but nobody taller than 5'11!! cc:saints roster," Ingram wrote on Twitter.
He posted another tweet, this time with a group photo and an accompanying caption, which read: "Is this what 6 big "too urban" guys look like?!"
On its website, Cirque Le Soir is described as "one of the most successful clubs in the world, attracting a galaxy of stars including Lady Gaga, Leonardo DiCaprio, Rihanna, Kanye West, Madonna, Jessie J, Princess Eugenie, Will.I.am, Katy Perry, Jude Law, Gerard Butler, Usher, Russell Crowe and Nicole Scherzinger.
"It is tucked away behind an unassuming black door on Ganton Street in London's vibrant Carnaby Street area. And while the entrance may be subtle, inside the circus-themed nightclub is anything but. Guests are treated to a thrilling assault on the senses from every angle, including dwarves, magicians, clowns, sword-swallowers, fire-eaters, burlesque angle grinders to snake charmers, contortionists and stilt walkers among a host of weird and wonderful entertainment.
"It is also famed for its international DJs, top mixologists and dazzling circus decor.
"So comb your lady's beard, iron your coat tails, dust off the top hat and prepare for a night like no other."
