Scotland coach Andy Robinson is urging his side to draw inspiration from home support in their Six Nations opener against rivals England.
The Scots suffered agonising defeats to England and Argentina in the World Cup and Robinson believes victory at Murrayfield on Saturday would be a perfect response.
Scotland have not lost to England at Murrayfield since 2004.
"I've enjoyed being here at Murrayfield. I didn't play here, I coached (England) in 2002 and I've loved the atmosphere that is created," Robinson said.
"It's all part of the theatre that you have. The Murrayfield support has been very good, and when you hear that Murrayfield roar it certainly gives the team a lift and they run a lot quicker."
"In saying that we've got to give them something to shout about as well, and that's by the way that we play as well."
England interim coach Stuart Lancaster will take charge of his first match with a new-look team, following a farcical World Cup campaign.
There are three debutants in an English line-up that includes new captain Chris Robshaw, who only has one cap.
Despite his inexperience, Robshaw is not intimidated by the magnitude of the occasion
"The young guys want to go out there and prove a point," Robshaw said.
"They have been doing it for their clubs for so long now, and now they have been given that reward they want to go out there and show the nation what they can do."
"To come up here in your first Six Nations experience is special, but we will see how it goes tomorrow."
"It is like pre-season at a rugby club, you can train really well but it is not until you play against your equals in the other nations that you know how good you are or how far you can go."
